Ham like the food’s top 4 kid friendly spots in Downtown Huntsville!

Hi friends! I am Sally Ham, with Ham like the food ๐Ÿ– It is an absolute joy sharing all that Huntsville (and beyond!) has to offer. And I love involving my Hamily ๐Ÿ’—

Atlas and I at one of our favorite spots Honest Coffee Roasters Huntsville

You are about to find out which 4 places in Downtown Huntsville are perfect for your kiddos!

Saturday mornings at Honest with the Hamily!

1. Honest Coffee Roasters
Let’s just start off by saying that they have the cutest plants with the most fun names. This is our Saturday morning go-to and it’s our daughter’s favorite place! They offer comfortable and practical seating. The acai bowls are delish and packed with all kinds of goodies (chocolate, granola, honey, fresh fruit, etc.)- kids can enjoy them too (although they are big enough you might want to share)! Paired with a kid’s temp hot chocolate or a steamer (no caffeine!) of any of their fun drinks and you have a happy camper. The staff is very kid friendly and accommodating. Funny story: one time Ellie was using her waiting number as a hat for her stuffed cat and the sweet worker came to grab it and said “I feel bad taking the cat’s hat!” They do have other food options like The King, which in my opinion is a glorified peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Atlas loves The Moonbake Shop and its cozy vibes ๐Ÿ’—

2. The Moon Bakeshop
Here you will find the most adorable and tastiest sugar cookies (usually in the shape of a rocket, but varies during the holiday season). They offer ALL the scrumptious treats your heart could ever desire. Snacks for littles can include: the ever mighty Power Bar that is packed with good nutrients and protein, blueberry muffin with fresh blueberries, special flavored cupcakes that’ll make you giddy, and so much more.
The decor is precious and very appealing to all ages- we especially love all the Rocket City vibes.
The staff is very kid friendly and accommodating- they always love our family so well! There’s an area for kids to view where the baking happens- it is quite entertaining too.
We are a fan of the nice big table to share and the comfy green sofa to share with loved ones.
Bonus- this is walking distance from Honest Coffee.

Our little foodie, Ellie, at our namesake Canadian Bakin (Ham)!

3. Canadian Bakin
This bakery sports the silliest and spunkiest decor- what other place has a Dwight bobble head?! One really neat feature about this place is that the TV shows all of its content in black and white- it is quite the spectacle for children!
Now let me just say that this is where you will find the BEST bagels and cream cheese- our daughter’s favorite is the chocolate chip bagel with peanut butter. Sides include fresh fruit or potato chips- I think we can all agree that kids like either of those options. The staff is quite silly and welcoming to children. This is also our place to grab bagels for the week- great breakfast option for those busy mornings before school!

Science, fun and deliciousness can be found at the Bakingtist!

4. The Bakingtist
This one is new to the downtown area and boy are we SO happy to have her. There are a lot of fun science elements for kids to see and kits to purchase (if interested!) Here you will find an amazing selection of baked goods, like the 1/2 pound Blueberry muffin (yes, half pound!) that is delectable and the perfect treat for littles.
Our daughter’s favorite is the freshly squeezed orange juice- it’s so yummy and refreshing!
We love the old school tables to sit at- makes you feel like you hopped back in time. There is kid friendly seating and a fun Periodic Table of Baking Elements. Another thing we love- it is walking distance to Honest Coffee.

What other places do you think are kid friendly that I may have left out?!
