There’s quite a hustle and bustle of geeky going-ons in Huntsville this weekend! October 14 thru 16 features ten nerdy events. If you don’t attend any, you’re really missing out:
- Wet Hop Madness – Friday at Campus 805, Straight to Ale is featuring 4 different wet hop brews, starting at noon.
- Homegrown Comedy – Also at Campus 805, a scary good lineup of national, regional, and local comedians.
- Rocket City Quidditch Club team practice – Join your local muggles for a Friday night evening practice at Brahan Spring Park at 6pm. Look for the quidditch hoops.
- NerdCon: Pre-Convention Event – Friday night at Bailey Cove Public Library you’ll get to get ready for the full NerdCon event with some tabletop gaming featuring Fate of Akalon: Tribes.
- Concerts on the Dock: Sol Vibes – Take advantage of this perfect Alabama weather while it lasts for these two weeks at Lowe Mill’s Concert on the Dock this Friday. Sol Vibes is playing their funk-fusion jam in a laid back atmosphere.
- DevSpace Conference – Friday & Saturday attend Huntsville’s premiere developers conference, with over 55 sessions. DevOps, C#, Agile, IoT, Angular, and more.
- Havoc Hockey preseason home game – Watch your local hockey team fine-tune their skills at the Von Braun Center on Saturday night.
- Redstone Rumble – Friday thru Sunday, get your wargaming on at the Holiday Inn Research Park.
- Con*Stellation XXXIV: Mensa – The Four Points by Sheraton Huntsville Airport is the place to be for science fiction & fantasy fans this weekend. Guest of Honor is Jody Lynn Nye.
- Amazon Alexa Hackathon – At Randolph (Garth Campus) on Sunday, hone your hacking skills on Amazon’s Alexa device. Make your home even smarter. Prizes will be awarded.
