Love is in the air, bad luck is lurking, and somehow… it all works out beautifully.
We’ll start on Tuesday, February 10. From 4 to 6 p.m., GigaParts hosts an Amateur Radio Social. It’s a casual meetup to learn about radios, frequencies, and the subtle art of signal-boosting wizardry.
Then on Wednesday, February 11, Kamado Ramen is serving up Anime Trivia starting at 6:30. This week’s theme promises to test your knowledge to levels that are… over 9000! Noodles, fandom, and bragging rights all in one place.
If your weekend feels dull and your couch feels too snug,
Pop over to Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment for a Seuss-sized hug.
From the 12th through the 14th, come wander and grin,
Sixty years of bright Seuss worlds are waiting within.
Doors open at eleven, the magic till seven,
Full of rhymes, quirky creatures, and Seussian invention.
Friday the 13th brings the Umpteenth Annual Toots N Tunes Chili Cook-Off at Vertical House Records. It starts at 6 p.m., with tunes from DJ Pedialyte. Chili, vinyl, and vibes — tempting fate in the tastiest way possible.
If your Valentine prefers pages over petals, Campus Grounds and Booklegger Book Store are collaborating for a Sweetheart Sip & Shop event on February 14th. From 7 to 10:30am, pair coffee, breakfast, and book browsing at Straight to Ale for a cozy and calm way to start the morning together.
And to wrap up Saturday’s Valentine’s festivities, Rocket City Lasers lights up the AV room at Campus 805 with a special night of laser shows starting at 6:30 — music, color, and just enough science to feel romantic in a very Huntsville way.
From Seuss-style creations to chili that scoops off,
From anime trivia to lasers that woosh-off,
February’s rolling with sparkle and flair,
A little mischievous fun floating through the air.
Plans may bend, twist, or shuffle about,
But that’s part of the magic we’ve come to expect out.
