Join us this coming Thursday, December 15th at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center as we celebrate the arrival of the first Star Wars Story film, Rogue One.

Geek Out Huntsville is partnering with the U.S. Space & Rocket Center to host the Premiere Party, which will be held just down the hall from the IMAX theater entrance.  We will be hosting a Star Wars Trivia and Costume Contest, which will feature prizes from some of our favorite local Huntsville businesses like Sugar Belle and Komai’s Oh My.  We will also be visited by special guests from the Alabama Garrison of the 501st costuming group, and some other surprise celebrity guests!  In addition, the first 500 attendees will receive the exclusive Rogue One IMAX poster seen to the right.

We will be kicking off at 5:30 PM near the IMAX entrance.  You do not have to purchase a ticket to the USSRC to attend, and are also welcome to attend even if you are not viewing Rogue One.  The Trivia Contest will start around 5:45, and the Costume Contest will start around 6PM.  Please note, the USSRC can not allow lightsabers, blasters, masks, and other props into the IMAX theater, but you are welcome to use them in the Costume Contest.

The U.S. Space & Rocket is one of only 16 theaters in the world showing Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in 70mm IMAX.  Let’s celebrate the fact that we have one of those 16 right here at home in Huntsville!
